Taking Our Time Growing Up is the dose of collegiate nostalgia you need to hear right now. A joyous piano rocker with a stadium sized chorus, it’s a love letter to Mattie Leon’s 4 years at Penn State University. Self produced in Hamilton, Ontario featureing bandmates Mike Leon & Nelson Sobral

Before dedicating his life to songwriting and performing, Mattie Leon was an accomplished golfer. National teams. Provincial teams. He ended up accepting a scholarship to play golf at Penn State University. 

The years flew by and after graduating he put the clubs down for a guitar and a stage. 

Now, far removed from that exhilarating American College experience, he’s used his songwriting talents to put the whole thing into perspective.
