ABOUT THE EP
In September 2022 Canadian singer/songwriter Mattie Leon became a father for the first time. Late nights rocking in bars were traded for late nights rocking his daughter to sleep. Morning writing sessions were traded for neighbourhood walks. Life on the road was traded for life at home.
Inevitably these new experiences started to find their way into Mattie's songwriting; the excitement and terror of having your first child, the new love you feel, the beautiful midnights, and the struggle of life being flipped on its head.
The result is a brand new EP, EVERYTHING WE'VE MADE. It features the same quality songwriting we've come to expect from Folk Music Ontario's Songs From The Heart Award Winner but with a distilled sense of lyrical direction.
Produced by Mattie in Hamilton, Ontario and featuring his bandmates, Mike Leon and Nelson Sobral, it's a group of Soulful Folk and R&B songs that sound like a songwriter in complete control of his facilities.
